Wednesdays with IAC: Practice, Strategy, and Tournaments
International Academic Competitions invites you and your team to join us for a new series of advice and strategy sessions, practice tournaments, and subject-specific competitions! All of these begin at 3:00pm London/Accra time, 4:00pm Paris/Rome/Berlin time, 5:00pm Istanbul/Nicosia/Cape Town time, 6:00pm Riyadh time, 7:00pm Baku/Doha time, 8:00pm Dubai time, 9:15 Tashkent time, 9:30pm India time. A link will be posted here to connect to each session.
Each Online Practice Tournament will feature two rounds of IAC Staff reading questions and giving advice on topics that appear in the questions. Information sessions last 30 minutes and are followed by 30-45 minutes of general practice questions. Online Practice Bee tournaments consist of two rounds of questions – students can choose to play in Beginner, Intermediate, or Expert rooms and last approximately 90 minutes. Scrimmage matches consist of 10 minutes of general practice followed by one round against a team of roughly comparable ability from another country; teams must register in advance for these to ensure we have readers on hand. All of these sessions and practice tournaments are free of charge. Of the events listed below, only the Online Science Bee and Online Geography Bee have a cost (namely 25 euros per player).
The Sign up form for the online practice History Bee tournament on the History of Religion, Mythology, and Philosophy on Wednesday, March 22 is now open for registrations here. Please fill out this form no later than 22.00 on Monday, March 20 if you would like to take part.
The link to the Google Meet Call that we are using for all sessions is found here. Just be on the call a few minutes before the above listed time for your time zone so we can start on time.
